Pages per sheet
Put 2, 4 or more pages side by side on each sheet — handouts, reading copies, proofs.
Supported: PDF files · up to 25 MB per file
How to use Pages per sheet
Pages per sheet lays several pages side by side on one sheet, the way a printer’s "2 pages per sheet" setting does — except it is baked into the file, so it prints the same on any machine and can be sent to someone as it is.
- Upload the PDF and choose how many pages go on each sheet.
- Set the reading order, the margin and the gap, and whether each page gets a hairline outline.
- Create the sheets and download.
Good to know
- Four per sheet is the usual choice for handouts and reading copies; two per sheet keeps the text large enough to annotate.
- "Down, then across" is the order for columns — useful for lists and for languages read in columns.
- The outline helps when the pages have no borders of their own and would otherwise run together.
- Halving the paper is worth pairing with Compress before e-mailing the result.
Questions about Pages per sheet
- Is Pages per sheet free?
- Yes. It is free with no account needed: files up to 25 MB, 40 tasks a day. Premium raises that to files up to 200 MB, 1,000 tasks a day.
- Which files can I use?
- PDF files (.pdf). One file at a time.
- What happens to my files?
- They are uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed on Papermint's own servers and deleted automatically: after 2 hours if you are not signed in, or 24 hours if you are. "Delete now" on the result removes them straight away. Your documents are not read, shared or sent to other services.
